LMU won in a game against the Catamounts here last night, 80-78. The Catamounts jumped off to a 30-10 first period lead tonight and were never behind. They led by 46-33 at the half. Forward Jim Jordan led the losers with 27 points. The Cats go to Salisbury Friday and Saturday for two conference games with Catawba College season tonight, jumped to an early 12-3 lead but saw the margin dwindle as Lincoln Memorial surged to a 19-18 first quarter lead and held the edge throughout the second quarter to stay in front 40-35 at the intermission. Forwards Tommy Williams andi Herman Shamel, center Jim Jordon and guard Bobby Holcombe each hit six points as the Catamounts came back with a 30-point third period to take a 65-61 com- and. A touch-and-go fourth period ensued with Jenkins prevailing as the big difference. Jordon, the Cats all-conference center, was high point man for the night with 29. Shamel and Holcombe contributed 14 and 13 respectively. Jenkins led Lincoln Memorial with 22 points while Bobby Rader and James Jordon had 16 and 15 respectively.
