All suggestions from any one employee will be considered together, so that any one person may submit a number of small suggestions and stili win one of the larger prizes. When a similar suggestion comes from two or more employees, - from which it was first received will get the credit. oKSTioNS must be dated and signed with the full name. The prizl winners will be selected by a general committee sting <<i General Manager, Secretary and Treasurer, Soda Superintendent, Sulphite Superintendent, Extract Superintendent, Master Mechanic. Chief Engineer and Electrician. SuGGKBT&m should be carefully written out, illustrated with rough sketch wherever necessary, and placed in Suggestion Boxes provided for that purpose. RULES AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING CLEANLINESS AND ORDER In awarding these prizes the division of the Mill into distinct rooms will be observed in so far as possible, the group prizes being divided among the men who are responsible for the cleanliness and order of the Room in question. The individual prize will be awarded in cases where the re- i bility for the cleanliness and order rest on one person only. The award of prizes under this heading will be made by a Special Committee in consultation with General Manager, and will be based on inspection made at irregular intervals. The names of the Cornmitte Members will not be made known until after the prizes are awarded. In awarding these prizes allowance will be made for the fact that it is far more difficult to keep one Department hi order than it is to keep another, for instance, the Black Ash cannot be judged by the same standard of cleanliness that governs in the Laboratory. At the same time considering the nature of the work, cleanliness and order can prevail in the Black Ash Department. Owing to the number of men employed in the Wood Yard, and the difficulty of keeping separate account of character of individual work, group prizes for cleanliness and order will be available to foremen only, that is, all Wood Yard Yard foremen will be considered as forming a single group. The Fibreville prizes will be available to all residents of Fibreville and will be awarded to the employees who maintain the premises rented by them in the neatest order and most attractive condition. Where employees have not been in constant attendance at their work, and the crew of which they are members is awarded a prize, the prize will be divided in accordance with the discretion of the Committee. RULES AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING ACCIDENT RECORD Hereafter the employees in the various departments of the Mill will be grouped in teams for the purpose of keeping a record of the accidents chargeable to each team. Each team starts out June 1st, with a score of 1,000 and for each accident involving more than two days disability, one point will be deducted from the starting score. Teams will be held accountable, not only for the accidents occurring to their own members, but accidents to members of other teams for which they are responsible. The prizes will be awarded on the basis of the scores indicated by the record on September 1st. Division of prizes among members of successful teams will be made on the basis of number of days worked by each member, so far as possible. Decision in case of the tie, or in case of any matters not covered by this announcement, will be made by General Manager.
