That foi the purpose of providing funds with which to acquire an ndequan- Water Shed to insure to the Town of Canton and its inhabitants 'holesome supply of water; that there- be issued and sold the negotiable coupon bonds of said town in the maximum amount of Fifteen Thousand Dol- ($15,000) said bonds to bearinter est at not exceeding six per centum per annum, payable semi-annually and shall mature within the maximum period of forty years, and shall be issued such form and manner as the gov erning body of said town may lution determine. That the averaged assessed valuation of property subject to taxation by the Town of Canton for the three fiscal years in which taxes were levied, being the years 1916, lgl7 andl.lS, is the sun? of $1,302,353 as shown by said statement Section 5. That the amount of "tfe- net debt of said municipality outstanding, authorized, or to be authorized, as shown by said statement, is $2.7,809.- 50. Section 6. That the probable period of usefulness of the improvement for "which bonds are to be issued is forty years. Section 7. That this ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its first publication unless in the meantime a petition for its submissien to the voters is filed under the "Municipal Finance Act" and in such event it shall take effect when approved by a majority of the voters of said Municipality. The foregoing ordinance was on the 10th day of March, I9T9, and was first published on the I4th day of March, I9I9.
