The show begins with Amy’s story “In a City of Neighborhoods,” which is about her life with Robert Garza in San Rafael, California, while she was in the Air Force. “A Groovy Kind of Love” accompanies the story. On Creative Corner, Doreyl talks once again with T.J. Holland, who talks about conceptions of time and history and how they are reflected in Cherokee culture. “Kneedeep Dance” by Bo Taylor accompanies the interview. Amy’s guest on Stories of Mountain Folk is Blake Wilkey, a resident of the Snowbird community of Robbinsville. He talks about his life in the mountains and also shares some information about how trains passed through difficult areas of the mountains. The interview is followed by “Wild Mountain Thyme” by the Muses. On Stories of the Cherokee, Robert Jumper’s April 13, 2013, interview with Davy Arch is rebroadcast. Arch discusses how he learned the craft of woodcarving and talks about how Cherokee art has survived and how cultural trends affect what Cherokee artists produce and sell. “The Trail of Tears” by Walker Calhoun follows the interview. On Down Another Road, Judy continues her talk with Eva Mull Wike, who talks about her grief and recovery after her son died and the directions her teaching career took after his death. “I’ll Have a New Life” by the Queen Family follows the interview, and the show ends with “Lend a Helping Heart” by the Smoky Mountain Boys.
