Sols Creek - early Jackson County school
-
This undated photograph shows Sols Creek School (in use 1932-1952), a one-teacher school used for church services on Sundays. The school was abandoned after the spring of 1952. Sols Creek, Charley's Creek, Wolf Creek, Tennessee Gap, and Rock Bridge schools consolidated to form the Canada Consolidated Elementary School which remained open until 1982 when the students were transferred to Camp Lab school in Cullowhee.
