"UNLESS I'M WITH YOU" I hear of love, everywhere I go, Movies, television, friends, and radio, I hear it's tender, rich and true, What is love, unless I'm with you. Satisfaction it brings, to a man's emotion, Peace it brings to a slave's commotion. I see it takes old, and makes anew, What is love, unless I'm with you. I find love covers, anger and strife, Brings changes to a planned life. I find love at times can make me blue, What is love, unless I'm with you. I sense love, all the day long, Feel the tune in a mellow song. I think that love is made for two, What is love, unless I'm with you. Michael A. This 1977, 44-page book of poems titled Neo-Blackness is an Organization of Ebony Students publication. Named in 1973, the Organization of Ebony Students was originally the Black Students United for Liberation which was founded in 1968 to promote unity among African American students. The organization is now called the Black Student Union and continues to promote the interests of WCU’s African American student body through cultural and educational activities and is open to all cultures.
