  • INSTRUCTIONS 1. In the event of your death, the amount of the allotment does not become a part of your estate, subject to the control of your legal representative. Uncashed checks, therefore, falling into the hands of such persons should be immediately returned to this office with information of your death. 2. ^Should you at any time report the nonreceipt or loss of a check before indorsing it, the U. S. Treasurer will, for your protection, be requested to suspend payment thereon, and if it afterwards come into your possession, it will be absolutely necessary for you to notify this office of the fact and receive a reply that payment has been resumed, before cashing the check. In no other case should the receipt of a check be acknowledged. 3. Indorse checks exactly as drawn and cash them at the earliest possible date in order that they may reach the accounting officer without delay. 4. Inform this office of any change of address. Failure to do so may result in the loss of checks. Notification of such change should be received at this office not later than the 15th of the month. When address is changed, use one of the inclosed cards, being careful to fill it out as indicated. More cards will be furnished if desired. 5. If an allotment is stopped before expiration, a notification will be mailed to the last address on record in this office. 6. #rif information concerning the allotment or change of address is requested, be sure to give amount of allotment and name of grantor. 7.
