2 wrote notes to a few, like Miss Welch, who would especially be glad to get them. She is 94 years old. Elwyn sent a snap shot of his ranch showing the new house & other new buildings. The house has a bath room & the other comforts & he says now there is plenty of room for company. This makes me feel that things have eased up for him. Lots of love all around & an especial big bit for you from Mama. Christmas Gifts. What do you give for Christmas? A trinket easy to buy, A sort of return for the gift That came, last year, from the other guy. A kindly smile for the stranger Who passes along the road. A helping hand to the weary ones Who carry a heavy load. To the soul in distress a word of hope That will lighten each lonely day. A bit of strength to the erring feet That are wandering far astray. She shares the details of her Christmas at the Lurch where her daughter Lucy lives, as well as that of other family members in various locations. She ends with a Christmas poem that she wrote.
