Inducted July 14, 1944. Trained at Camp Gordon Johnston, Fla. Served in Asiatic and Pacific Theatres of War. CPL. NOEL O. PHILLIPS, Sylva., N. C, son of S. J. and Iva Lee Phillips and husband of Evelyn Reynolds Phillips. Inducted Mar. 8, 1944. Trained at Camp Fannin, Tex., and Camp Atterbury, Ind. Served in European Theatre. Served in Pacific Theatre. Citations or medals: Asiatic-Pacimic, Philippine Liberation, Good Conduct, American Theatre, Victory Ribbon, and Combat Infantry Badge. Discharged Mar. 16, 1946. T/5 JOHN C. PRESSLEY, Speedwell, N. C, son of Mr. and Mts. R. D. Pressley. Inducted Apr. 9, 1942. Trained at Camp Grant, 111., Camp Stoneman, Cal., and Fort Lewis, Wash. Received the Good Conduct Medal, Red Cross Medical Pin, and American Theatre Ribbon. Was sent to west coast in June, 1942, and was delayed at Camp Stoneman, being Key man there for 27 months caring for the sick and wounded in the hospital. Discharged Oct. 13, 1944. CPL. ROBERT W. QUEEN. Sylva, N. C, son of Mrs. Hattie L. Queen. Inducted Apr. 9, 1941. Trained at Fort Bragg, N. C, Carolina, Louisiana, and California Manoeuvers. Served in European Theatre.
