  • DECEMBER 1934 HIKE SUPERVISOR—E. G. FRIZZELL DECEMBER 8 ANNUAL DINNER AND DANCE (or what have you) The air will be crisp, the evening a bit frosty, but you will enjoy the ride—and how! And there will be a roaring big log fire, with its flickering shadows, to light and cheer the spacious lobby of "Ye Ole Inn." That same fire will gladly warm your tingling fingers and toes and radiate friendliness to those about you. Yes! We will all gather around and talk things over while the crowd is dribbling in, but here's hoping every one will be on time, for it is certain that we will be so hungry that we can hardly wait. Then from piping hot soup to salty nuts, we will enjoy delicious food while we tell funny stories to the fellows across the table. Then, we will pause about this time in the evening long enough to install the officers for 1935, and "brother, when we install 'em, they stay installed." All speeches will be nice and short. Immediately after dinner, the dining room will be cleared for dancing—so, choose your pardner for a lively good ole square dance, as the fiddlers tune up to "Turkey in the Straw." And, there will be round dancing, too! But, when you've danced to your heart's content, which probably will be 'long about midnight, we will gather around the huge fire again 50
