  • SEPTEMBER 29 and 30 ELECTION BANQUET AND SQUARE DANCE AT MONTVALE—HIKE TO LOOK ROCK Once again we hie ourselves to Montvale to spend an evening eating, dancing and singing with old friends and new, and—before we forget it—to elect officers to serve during the year 1935. This gathering is becoming, more and more, one that most of us find we just must not miss, for it's a most enjoyable occasion. So turn in your reservation for the banquet early— we'll let you know in plenty of time—and we'll be ready to eat with you at 7 P. M. If you plan to climb Look Rock with us on Sunday morning (and we hope you will), don't forget to make reservation for your room too. Leave Dixie System at 5:30 P. M. Round trip driving distance, 50 miles. Round trip dancing distance—what you make it. Round trip hiking distance to Look Rock 5 miles. Take canteen and food for one meal (which may be prepared for you at the hotel if you wish). Leaders: IRA GALYON GREENE (3-5028) GEORGE HACKMAN (3-8189) Nature hath no surprise No ambuscade of beauty 'gainst mine eyes From brake or lurking dell or deep defile; No humors, frolic forms, this mile, that mile; No rich reserves or happy-valley hopes Beyond the bend of roads, of distant slopes. Her fancy fails, her wild is all run tame; Ever the same, the same. 'Taken from—"From the Flats"—Sidney Lanier 41
