  • for those whom God has endowed with vision as is true with dear “Dick”. He in his and God’s way will make a great contribution to world betterment, which is worth more than all the money in the world. Of course he must have money for the necessities and a generous sprinkleing of the luxuries of a quiet Godly life. O no, I am sure dear “Dick” will never do anything except the right thing. I am so glad to learn that Mr. Slagle is not only holding this own but has improved in some ways, I am praying to the “Great Physician” especially in his behalf. You will never know how I appreciate the very kindly invitation to visit you this summer, I would so love to see and talk with dear “Dicks” Mother and Father. I do not know just what the summer will have in store for me. I am beginning to feel the weight of years and cannot travel now like I did when I was much younger. I am compelled to avoid all-night rides in a day coach, and there are only a few times when I can get a sleeper. If I am able to come, I am wondering if we could not do considerable, collecting, of plants, minerals, etc. and maybe I could bring “Dick” back with me and let him work the more troublesome ones out in the laboratory. It really appeals to me. There is only
