C. Miss Ethel Burleson, a summer school of 1926, is now teaching at Leicester, N. C. Mr. Walter Phillips of Fairview, N. C, is now employed with the Farmers' Federation and has his headquarters in Asheville. Mr. Albert Foster, one of our 1925- 26 students, is now located at Chimney Rock. Mr. Beaman- Kelly, one of our popular students with the girls is teaching near his home at Six Mile, S. C. Miss Nettie Noble is teaching in her home town at Deep Run, N. C. Miss Annie Sawyer is teaching at Pollocksville, N. C. Miss Esther Gibbs is teaching at her home in Mill Springs, N. C. Misses Annie Young and Bex Ramsey and Mrs. F. C. Sams are teaching in the elementary school at Mars Hill, N. C. Mr. "Pete" Plemmons and Mr. Tom Robinson, graduates of 1925, are continuing their studies for the second year at Peabody College. Miss Etta Henderson, now Mrs. Zolly Owens, a student of our earlier days, is now living in West AshevilR Miss Azalee Allen is now teaching at Beach, N. C. Miss Mollie Thigpen, one of our summer school students of 1926 is teaching in Raleigh. Misses Virginia Goforth and Daisy Johnson are teaching in the elementary schools in Rutherford County. Miss Emma Goforth, now Mrs. Fred Stallings, is teaching in th.> grammar grade school at Forest City, N. C. Miss Lois Carter is teaching at Black Mountain, N. C. She plans to continue her studies at Cullowhee this Miss Ora Lee Waldrop is doing grammar grade work at Butler. Mrs. W. F. Porter is teaching a1 her home at Mill Springs. Miss Onnie Burleson, a student of 1924-25, is located at Democrat. Miss Ethel Israel is teaching in the grammar grades at Burnsville. Miss Reva Dillingham, another 1926 student, is teaching at Fairview. Miss Sallie Wacaser, now Mrs. Buren Phillips, is teaching at Henrietta, N. C. Miss Mildred Bailey, student of 1925, is teaching primary work in the North Brook Consolidated School No. 3. Her address is Cherryville, Route No. 1. Miss Sallie Fisher is teaching at the Long Branch School, Marshall, N. C. Mrs. H. R. Adams is now teaching fifth grade work at Cary, N. C. She has already made her reservation for the coming summer school. Miss Mary Foster, one of our 1925 summer students, is doing primarv work in the Cooleemee elementary school. Miss Ora Lee Gaddy is now teach ing at Monroe. She plans to be with us again this summer. Miss Ethel Curtis is teaching near her home at Six Mile, S. C. Miss Josie Bonds is teaching near Miss Hetty H apkins, another of our South Carolina students is teaching at Piedmont, S. C. Miss Anne H all, one of our high class of '27 school graduates of the is taking a busii less course in Atlanta, Georgia. Miss Dora Willis is teaching in Lincoln County near Lincolnton. Miss Alice Earle Edwards writes from her home at Avondale that she is still in the teaching profession. We are glad to know that she will be a student with us again this summer. Miss Clutie Bloodworth of the Alabama State Department of Education writes that she is enjoying the Yodel and wants her name added to the permanent mailing list. Where Members of August Class of 1926 Are Located Miss Alwayne Anderson is teaching at Webster this year. From all reports she is making good in her work. Miss Myra Blue is teaching at Alexis in Gaston County. Miss Louella Brown whom we mentioned in last issue is at Balsam Miss Esther Horner is continuing her studies at Peabody College. She writes that she is enjoying her work and says that she wants a year's subscription to the Yodel. Mrs. Fannie Dills Payne is teaching at Canton again this year. Miss Opal Reeves is at Lake Jun- aluska. We hear that she is making a great success in her work. Mr. Ervin Roberson as principal at Kast Laporte ii doing well. As be was a good .student here, we were confident od Miss Ivy Woodard is teaching ftl Hubert, Jones County. Miss Mahala Ballance is very ably carrying on her work at Beaufort, N. C. Miss i.ily Canaday I teaching at Black Mountain, N. C. Miss Vera Robinson is teaching near her home at Atlantic, N. C. Miss Kathryn Dillard is teaching at her home, Six Mile, S. C. Mr. Bryan Chambers of Waynesville, N. C, is teaching at Woodfln. We were unable to learn at this time where the following members el the class are located, but a repoit concerning them will be given later: Miss Helen Laughinghouse of Grif- ton, Miss Katharine Robinson, of Clyde, Mr. Fulton Thomasson, of Andrews, and Mr. Horace N. The Western Carolinian is Western Carolina University’s student-run newspaper. The paper was published as the Cullowhee Yodel from 1924 to 1931 before changing its name to The Western Carolinian in 1933.
