  • THE CULLOWHEE YODEL PERSONALS **************************** Miss Ivy Woodard spent the Christmas holidays with Miss Opal Reeves at Lake Junaluska. Among those spending the holidays at Cullowhee were Misses Limer and Ransdgll, of the Normal, Maude Hopkins who is now teaching in Transylvania County, and Messrs. Homer Wike, of the State University, and William Bryson of Johnson County. Sidney McCarty, H. S., '25, writes from Davidson College that a freshman's life affords much amusement— for the sophmores. "Sid" was a popular student here and should mak good in Colelge. iss Pearl Weaver is spending i time with her sisters, Mrs. Pos- ind Mrs. Hunter. Miss Margaret Teague and Miss Virginia Osborne, of Whittier, attended the Sylva Ramblers-Cullowhee Normal game Saturday night. We regret the loss of Rev. W. P. West, who has accepted a call to the Baptist Church of Roxboro. Rev. West has served the local church for three years, during which he has been closely associated with the school. Miss Lucy Baumgardner has just returned from Knoxville, where she visited friends and relatives. Mr. J. D. Parker of Sylva, was a visitor on the campus Monday. Mr. Wade Galloway of the Cullowhee Motor Co., has gone to Charlotte to take a course in automobile repairing. We wish to welcome Rev. R. L. Randolph and family to our community. Rev. Cecil left school early in the fall to accept the railroad agency at Ravensford. Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Miller, of Canton, and Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Hall of Bryson City, were recent visitors at the home of N. A. Hall. Mr. Gerald Baumgarner and family of Knoxville, Tenn., have recently moved to Cullowhee. Mr. Baumgarner has taken charge of the Bryson Department Store. Mr. Maffett former manager is returning to his home in Asheville. Arthur Ledbetter has just returned from an extensive tour of the North. Among those who enrolled for the second quarter are Misses Esther Horner and Loucine Wells and Messrs.
