  • heartily in sympathy, and for which I shall do all that I am able to with my pen and by getting signatures to the petition. Frederick Grant, Editor in Chief, Associated Press. The subject having attracted widespread attention, we should greatly appreciate the courtesy if you would kindly write us your views on the subject. Arthur T. Abernathy, People's Monthly, Phila. I am delighted to hear of your organization, and trust that you will meet much success. Col. A. B.Andrews, 1st Vice-President, Southern Railway, Raleigh, N. C. I feel a deep interest in this matter and will be glad to aid in any way I can. W. Williard Ashe, Consulting Forester, Washington, D. C. I am heartily in favor of the establishment of such a Park as your committee now advocate, and if the organization of the association is effected, I will be glad to be considered a member and will do what I can to further its object and interest. A. P. Bourland, Peabody Normal College, Nashville, Tenn. I hope that you will not be discouraged, but that you will continue to labor till success comes. This park is a national need. At a regular meeting, held February 22nd, the Botanical Society of Pennsylvania, by unanimous vote, resolved to extend its hearty sympathy to the Appalachian National Park Association. Senator Marion Butler, Washington, D. C. I trust that your meeting of the Park Association at Asheville last week was in every way encouraging.
