This club also conserves, restores and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North Americas waterfowl. So far, Ducks Unlimited hosts more than 4,500 members with about 20 members here at WCU. It really wasnt hard to get started, White said. -White contacted the national _ chapter and then applied for a student organization on catamount connections to get the club started on this campus. Club members are excited about the new chapter and are currently plan- ning events to get more student partici- pation. Saturday, April 26" Ducks Un- limited will hold a fishing tournament at 4:00 p.m. by the softball field fol- lowed by a cookout. Price of the event will be $25.00, which includes fishing, food and membership:! Official Ducks | -Unlimited prizes will also be given-out for biggest fish and max weight. We hope people will come out to the tour- nament. There will be prizes, food and fun, White said. Ducks Unlimited club starters Hamrick and White encourage outdoor lovers to check out the tournament and to look for the booth they will have set- up in front of the U.C.
