  • 09/20 A student reported an attempted break-in to her vehicle while it was parked in the Camp Lab parking area, Officers investigating found the window had been broken accidentally by a rock during mowing og/21 Officers are investigating vandalismto a 4th floor bathroom in Leatherwood that involved obscene graffiti with a permanent marker. Officers are investigating a breaking and entering of a student's room by removing the window screen and reaching through to take a box fan. 09/22 Officers are investigating damage to state property involving throwing trash in the hallway and damaging an Exit sign in Scott Hall 03/23 Officers assisted EMS at Reynolds Hall regarding a student with general sickness. The student was transported to Harris Regional for evaluation. Officers investigated a report of fireworks thrown from a window in Scott Hall 09/24 A student was issued a UJC for underage possession / consumption and drinking in public after officers observed him walking in a crosswalk carrying an open malt beverage. Officers assisted EMS with a general sick call where the student refused transport. Officers responding to a disturbance with possible threats located a suspect and the student was arrested for possession of marijuana and RDO (resist / delay and obstruct police officers). 09/25 A student reports her wallet and contents stolen Saturday while she was at Enka with the band. A report was filed with Enka and also with WCUPD because the cat card was taken. A campus CatTran bus and another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction on Memorial Drive had their mirror hit together while passing, Officers investigated a student receiving harassment and unwanted electronic contact by a male alumnus. 09/26 Officers are investigating a report of someone trying to set fire to a roll of toilet paper inside the West wing 8th floor women's bathroom. Officers responded to the Mckee Circle regarding a disturbance between a faculty member and construction workers over moving a vehicle for construction 09/27 A student received a phone call identifying themselves as Student Funding Services and assumed it was regarding financial aid from WCU, it was not. It was from out of state, from Largo Fla. Officers investigating a fire in a trash canat Scott arrested female student for Criminal Damage to Property. 09/28 Officers are assisting with an investigation involving a student being assaulted while at the Rusty Lizard in Sylva last night. Officers are investigated a domestic assault involving a male student and a female student that occurred in Benton Hall at an earlier date. The male student was arrested for assault on a female, harassing phone call and stalking. He is currently in the Jackson County Jail with a bond set at $6,000.00 secured. 09/29 Officers performing a walk-thru of Leatherwood Hall observed 8 students in a room with underage alcohol consumption occurring, As a warning officers observed as the occupants poured the alcohol out. 10/04 Officers are investigated harassment involving someone _ repeatedly tampering with items on a student's door, A student in Walker Hall was issued state citations and UJC's for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, and __underage Possession of alcohol. The UJC also included a charge for possession of State Property (a fire extinguisher). 10/06 student who was checked by EMS regarding intoxication was then was arrested by officers and charged with being drunk and disruptive after displaying violent outburst Officers investigating fight that occurred earlier in the night at Scott found the incident began with two intoxicated student's horse playing and ended with one student receiving an injury to the face that required medical attention at the emergency room. 10/07 Following a report of furniture being thrown from the windows of Albright Hall the WCU officers assisted by a Jackson County Deputy and Residential Living staff located 3 male non-student suspects hiding behind Subway and two male student Suspects inside Albright. The 3 non- students were arrested for Resist/ Obstruct & Delay and banned from campus and the 2 student received UJC's. Further charges are possibly pending CHISTED 10 Good news for students who like the sauce; alcohol poisoning is now referred to as general sickness". Maybe if proper blankets didn't cost tens of dollars, then we wouldn't have to set fire to trash cans in our dorms. 4 College may bea time to experiment and try new things, but beating up your oi tiend is not among those things, unless you digprison 3 Keeping your door open to meet new and interesting people? Great idea. Keeping your door open during one of your underage keg parties? Not so much. 2 For you aspiring comedians out there, the earlier in the moming you pull a fire alarm the funnier everyone will think it is. iL Remember that one hilarious Jack- ass skit where they just break each other's noses while drunk?
