  • Volume 57 Number 22 News The Western Carolinian Page 2 Thursday. March 26. 1992 SGA's Senate reports...to include yearbooks in tuition Suzanne Kendall SGA Reporter Western Carolina University's Student Government Association met Mar. 24,1992, where a resolution regarding the food services to purchase two works for the purpose of stir-frying vegetables was brought to the floor for discussion. Resolution 1440, sponsored by Senator Jeffrey Sykes, is an act to provide lockers in the Stillwell building for Science and Math Students with too many books. Some students with heavy course loads have several classes in one day and must carry all academic necessities with them throughout the day. Many of the science and math books tend to be very large and heavy. Also, because the Stillwell building is located a good distance from the main area of campus, it was suggested that the University pay for the lockers and have students pay a small fee each semester for using them. This resolution passed the senate. Resolution 1441, sponsored by Senator-at-large Nolan Davis, is an act to allow students to pay for and reserve a WCU yearbook at the start of each fall semester. It would be a great convenience to the student body to have this option at the beginning of the semester. The yearbook needs to sell more copies in order to become financially stable. This resolution passed the student senate. Resolution 1442, sponsored by Jim Phillips, is an act for food services to purchase two works for the purpose of stir-frying vegetables.
