Speedwell Road 11/2 miles from stadium Grocery items and picnic supplies GUN SHOP Wide variety of Hunting & fishing supplies Large selection of guns. Ammo, Bows, Knives Hunting and Fishing License dealer. David Hall 293-3263 GULF GASOLINE meets a hen-pecked husband (who would have been a famous writer)? Well, naturally they have an affiar. Or do they? In Bob Randall's "6 Rms Riv Vu", the former beatnik is now a middle-class housewife with two kids, and the would-be Nobel prizewinner is now copywriting toothpaste ads. The laughs begin when they find themselves locked in a vacant apartment in a rent-controlled district of the core city. Ken Stikeleather, a speech pathology major, protrays Paul Friedman, and Sarah Gomes, a graduate student from Jamaica (via England), plays Anne Miller in the leading roles. An audience of 111 were on hand at the Little Theater opening night Tuesday to enjoy a show that takes a mild satirical bite at middle class ideals, virtue, and women's lib ("They're going to sit on the George Washington Bridge until they build a Martha Washington Bridge"). The WCU University Players do a good job with "6 Rms Riv Vu", especially Sarah Gomes with her fine leading role performance. Dorm Director Maggie Mills added her '-own touch of hilarity as a doberman pinscher-wielding neighbor, as did Ralph Hamlett as the goofy building superintendant. The technical chores of light and sound were well handled, which always contributes an air of professionalism. Tonight's the last chance to catch this one, and judging by the opening crowd, you better call 293-7491 for reservations. Next week—"Veronica's Room", by Ira Levin.
