Effective Fall Quarter, all students withdrawing during a quarter must contact the Counseling Personnel in the CAP Center in Dodson Cafeteria prior to obtaining the withdrawal form from Student Development, 110 Scott Hall. The purpose of the contact with the counselor is to assist the student in making an appropriate decision with regard to withdrawals. All other steps in the withdrawal process will remain the same. THE WESTERN CAROLINIAN Contacts The Career Planning and Placement Office is holding three Job Hunting Seminars for seniors during the next week. All seniors who are not planning to teach in the public schools and who will graduate in December, March, or June should plan to attend one of these seminars. At the seminar the senior will be able to start a Placement File, learn about the basics of successful job hunting including how to write an effective resume and what to expect in the job interview. In today's tight job market it is important not only to get an early start, but to know and use the proper techniques. Therefore, we urge seniors to take advantage of this opportunity.
