IN REAL LIFE, the story of mountain people is more complex, more interesting, more fun, more of an American adventure. The Mountain Heritage Center, your friendly neighborhood museum, tells this story through exhibits, multi-image slide programs, lectures and demonstrations. Located on the ground floor of the H.F. Robinson Administration Building, the Center is open weekdays from 8 to 5. COMING EVENTS SEPTEMBER 12 A new exhibit entitled "The Great Forest: an Appalachian Story," will open with an introductory lecture by noted author Wilma Dykeman at 7:30. SEPTEMBER 28, Mountain Heritage Day, a new versbn of *The Migration of the Scotch-Irish People" will open, along with many smaller exhibits from the Center's collections, and a new 9-projector multi-image slide program entitled "Islands in the Clouds: 50 Years of the Blue Ridge Parkway."
