COMMENCEMENT WESTERN CAROLINA UNIVERSITY Cullowhee, North Carolina JUNE 4, 1972 10:30 A.M. REID GYMNASIUM FACULTY MARSHALS Quinn Constantz, Chief Harry Ramsey James Hunter David Teague DONALD A. DEPPE has had a distinguished career in education. He is Chief of the Community Service and Continuing Education Branch of the U. S. Office of Education. He received an A.B. in Philosophy from Lafayette College in 1954, a M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Maryland in 1957, and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Chicago in 1965. He is active in professional societies including the National University Extension Association, Association of University Evening Colleges, and Adult Education Association of the U. . A. His eareer has included university teaching and Director of the Division of Conferences and Institutes for University College of the University of Maryland. He also has several publications to his credit.
