GOD OF OUR FATHERS God of our fathers, Whose almighty hand Leads forth in beauty all the starry band Of shining worlds in splendor thro' the skies, Our grateful songs before Thy throne arise. Thy love divine hath led us in the past, In this free land by Thee our lot is cast; Be Thou our ruler, guardian, guide and stay, Thy word our law, Thy paths our chosen way. From war's alarms, from deadly pestilence, Be Thy strong arm our ever sure defence; Thy true religion in our hearts increase, Thy bounteous goodness nourish us in peace. Refresh Thy people on their toilsome way, Lead us from night to never ending day; Fill all our lives with love and grace divine, And glory, laud and praise be ever Thine. THE STAR-SPANGLED BANNER () say! can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? O thus be it ever when free men shall stand, Between their loved homes and the war's desolation! Eiest with victory and peace, may the Heaven rescued land Praise the Power that has made and preserved us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust!" And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the 'brave! AMERICA My country, 'tis of 't.hee, Sweet land of liberty, Of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died! Land of the pilgrim's pride! From every mountain side, Let freedom ring. My native country, thee, Land of the noble -free, Thy name I love. I love thy rocks and rills, Thy woods and templed hills; Let music swell the breeze, And ring from all the trees Sweet freedom's song. Let mortal tongues awake; Let all that breathe partake; Let rocks their silence break, The soung prolong. Oar father's Cod to Thee, Author of liberty, To Thee we singe Long may our land be bright With freedom's holy light; My heart with rapture thrills Protect us by Thy IVIight, Great God, our King.
