The students and faculty of the college will play host to returning alumni. Twenty-one organizations will participate in a parade beginning at 9:30 a. m. at Sylva. Thirteen clubs have entered floats. Before the kickoff at the Western Carolina-Elon game at 7:45 p. m.. President Paul A. Reid will crown the Homecoming Queen, Miss Judy Smith of Forest City, selected by the football squad. Her attendants will be Miss Renny Holden of Winston-Salem, Miss Mary Ann Taggart of Ashe- ville, Miss Harriet Mashburn of Cullowhee, Miss Betty Arrington of Andrews, Miss Sylvia Camlin of Lake Junaluska, and Miss Libby Trent of Leaksville. _In the parade each club float the Book"; Phvsical ucation, "Shake, Rattle, i Roll"; Future Business Leaders of America, "Million - Dollar Baby;" Science Club, "Honeymoon on a Rocket Ship;" Home Economics, "Happy Birthday;" Monogram Club, "Stout-Hearted Men;" Western Carolina Players, "Bongo, Bongo, Bongo." Future Teachers of America, "Rags to Riches;" Western Carolinian, "River of No Return;" The Catamount, "Backward Turn Backward;" Women's Athletic Association, "Wheel of Fortune;" Chorus and Music Education National Conference, "Little Shoemaker;" Women's House Govern ment, "Put 'Em in a Box, and Tie 'Em with a Ribbon." Other clubs taking part in the parade will be the Student Senate, Alpha Phi Sigma, Baptist Student Union, Westminister Foundation, and the Men's House Government. Th<f College Band, under direction of Dr. David Price, and the Sylva High School Band will also march in the parade. The Wesley Foundation will represent John Wesley riding on his horse. Judges selected from the surrounding area will award a prize, for the best float. Alumni will have lunch at 12 noon in the college cafeteria. The dormitories and the Student Un-J ion will hold open house during the afternoon. Again using song titles, the buildings will represent such themes in their decorations as "Slow Boat to China" for Reynolds' Dormitory, "Fernando's Hideaway" for Madison Dormitory and "Mountain Dew" for Robertson Dormitory. The Physical Education Department under the leadership of Miss Alice Benton will be host at a tea for the alumni and students in the Faculty Lounge and Roof Garden, Hunter Library, at 4 P. m. An alumni mass meeting with Robert C. Hall, alumni secretary, presiding will be held in the Gallery, Hunter Library, at 4:45 p. m.
