Lonely Mountain Tops Here I am, all alone, Needing you here, my very own Life can be so empty without you, But when we're together, it's just us two Thoughts run through my mind, Just to be with you to entwine I can recall all the spirits and mystics, Everything we did was so realistic You are an object of a precious stone, Being with you is where I belong Here, the mountain air is so cold, Just needing you here to have and hold Then the sun appears to shine so bright, So I can embrace you so tight I can account for all the things we've done, It all adds up to so much fun Yes, I understand the situation we're in, Love is just where it all begins. Love is just caring for each other . . . In so many ways Gale Gordon Sure... What is a flower If it can't live, Why should there be an hour If the minutes doesn't give, Why do we hold back Being close together is a fact, I reach my hands out to you . . . This 1978, 36-page book of poems titled Neo-Blackness was published by the Organization of Ebony Students. Named in 1973, the Organization of Ebony Students was originally the Black Students United for Liberation which was founded in 1968 to promote unity among African American students. The organization is now called the Black Student Union and continues to promote the interests of WCU’s African American student body through cultural and educational activities and is open to all cultures.
