  • Dfi, za duatz J^)l L(JL±LOn Western Carolina College has, since 1951, been offering a program which leads to a Master's degree in Education. This program is designed for teachers, and those admitted to the program as candidates for degrees must have had teaching experience, and have the equivalent of a Class "A" teacher's certificate. The objectives of the program are: first, to continue the professional training of elementary school teachers by expanding and intensifying their knowledge; second, to continue the professional training of secondary school teachers to the end that they may be broadened and deepened in the understanding of all phases of service pertaining to their particular work, including additional training in one subject field; and third, to prepare such teachers as already hold the undergraduate professional degree to become specifically qualified as school counselors, principals, supervisors or teachers of exceptional groups while earning the Master's degree. ■us SSSS* *** oSfev*
