Cove Mountain
-
This photograph of Cove Mountain as seen from Cades Cove Road up the north side of Rich Mountain is in the collection of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club. The club was formed after a group of outdoor enthusiasts hiked up to Mount LeConte in October 1924. The photograph was made by Carlos C. Campbell (1892-1978), a founding member of the Great Smoky Mountains Conservation Association and author of “Birth of a National Park.”
