  • Sept. 10th, 1901. To the President and Members of the Appalachian Nat*l Parle Ass*n; following the last annual mating held in Asheville on February 5th, 1901, your Secretary oomplyed with the instructions of the meeting and notified such gentlemen as were elected to positions of their election. Since that meeting the Executive Committee have held hut two meetings, on February MMft* Mfei June 2%nd, But two meetings were held for the reason that since Congress adjourned last, year there has "been no pressing work *tich required frequent meetings of yow Executive Committee, The interest of those <iM have given their time and attention to our cause has in nomway abated and m now have to report that our cause has brighter prospects than ever. In Febriiary, the date of the last, meeting, we had n paid up membership of 155, while those *io have signified their willingness to MS let us but had n^mr fit .mi shed funds numbered 584, To-day we have a paid up membership of 165 and a mailing list of 414. Since our annual report was made we have not hud. much literature printed but have continued to send out as the occasion arose, such printer! matter as Ml had on hand. Titttere have been dictated by your Secretary to the manber of 24a, making a total of 1458,
