Reynwoods Old Fort, N.C. In this letter of August 14, 1948, Alonzo C. Reynolds writes to his family members recalling his purchase of 714 acres of mountain land, planting an apple orchard, and later replacing the orchard with Austrian winter peas. Mr. Reynolds looks forward to celebrating his and Nannie’s wedding anniversary next year. He married Nancy “Nannie” Woods Reynolds (1874-1968) on August 9, 1899.
