  • Allen Eaton was the Russell Sage Foundation's representative to the Southern Appalachian region. In 1933 he gave a talk "at the annual conference of the American Coutry Life Association at Blacksburg, Virginia, August 3, 1933" which was also produced "in condensed form over the National Broadcasting system at Washington, D.C., August 8, as a part of the Farm and Home Hour Program." It was also published in Mountain Life and Work. This copy with its notations belonged to Clementine Douglas.
