.,.».«, I . ,Jill I.IJUIMI I -I i man Servo's Serves up a Valenfine Smack-D»um I just want to know what idiot sched- iled a WWF Pay-Per-View on Valentine's )ay. I'm wondering how many wives and ;irlfriends were smacking around their nen Sunday night. Kinda makes me glad ny significant other watches wrestling too heh, heh). But I have to admit, St. /alentine's Day Massacre was a very good how. Mankind and The Rock had it out again) for the World Title in a "Last Man Standing Match." Great match, up until the aid, when The Rock and Mankind knocked iach other out with chairs. Neither man ;ould get up for the 10 count, so the match *as considered a draw, with Mankind re- aining the Championship. However, that match paled in compari- ;on to the main event; "Stone Cold" Steve \ustin vs. Vincent K. McMahon in a steel ;age. The rules are simple in cage matches, ilrst one out on the floor wins. At first, Vince did not want to go in the :age with the Rattlesnake, but Austin chased McMahon in the ring. Now, here's x fifty-year-old man, still in good shape, but even more still, up there in age, being thrown from 20 feet into a announcer's table and bleeding. Vince has turned out to be a surprising stunt man. Austin finally applied the Stunner on Vince when a surprising figure came to the owner's rescue. Paul Wright (a.k.a. WCW's Giant) made his way to the ring and threw Austin around the cage. As Austin was busy playing rag doll, McMahon crawled toward the cage door. Paul Wright threw Austin against the cage and broke the side of the cage allowing Austin to hit the floor, getting the win!! But, none of this really mattered after Raw. The Rock won the title back from Mankind in a ladder match (thanks to Paul Wright) and now, Paul Wright is the special guest referee in the Title Match between Austin and The Rock at Wrestlemania XV That's pretty much Raw. Nitro was...interesting. We got to see the nWo gang-beat on Flair for about 10 minutes, the woman from last Monday still seducing the cameraman (I'm thinking it's Rick Flair's son, but I'm not quite sure yet), and a Hogan vs. Piper match. Insert heavy sarcasm here. All in all, there were 6 matches in three hours. I'm sorry, but that is kinda lame. UG A and the Florida Gators battled for the tournament championship. Mark "Limey" Smith scored the game winning try with a penalty kick to give the Cats a dramatic win over South Carolina. "That win kept us a/ive in the consolation bracket," commented Smith. Sunday, in the consolation matches, the Catamounts defeated the Emory Eagles, 23-10 and received a forfeit from The Citadel. With that win, the WCU fifteen were awarded the consolation bracket championship trophy.
