  • October 26,1995 Western Carolinian 15 Sports Cats Down to Four Lives Coach Steve Hodgin by Jason Queen Associate Editor I've heard people say, "When it rains, it pours." Such is the case for Western's ailing football team. The Cats' skid continued Saturday in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as UTC handed Western its fourth straight loss, 35-14. The loss drops the Cats to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the Southern Conference. With 55 seconds left in the first quarter, it looked as if the Cats might have found some light at the end of this season's long and treacherous tunnel. Quarterback Chad Greene connected with tightened Kawasak Penn for a 27- yard touchdown pass to put the Cats ahead 14-6. This capped off a six-play 68-yard drive that gave Western the lead for the first time in four weeks. UTC stormed right back, however, and marched 70 yards on 15 plays to tie the score at 14-14. The Cats threatened to score again on their next possession. They drove down deep into Chattanooga territory. On first down at the UTC 13 yard line, a rushing attempt went amuck for a loss of nine yards. On third and 19, Greene was sacked for a loss of 15 more yards. by Robert Schweitzer Contributing Writer cluh ern Carolina's bicycle racing ScT made their debut in Greenville, don R Michelin Classic Fall Crite- ■^ycle races on Saturday Oct 14.
