  • January fifteenth, 1901. Mr. M, V, Kichards, Washington, D» C, My dear Mr, Richards;- Mr. Powel has given Me your letter of the XOth inst, together with the clipping. T would state that 3 have already received a copy of this clipping and have made arrangements with the Citizen Comply to publish the lam and furnish me twelve huAdred slips for distribution to the press. 1 have this day received m letter from Gen. J. I. Wilder of Knoxville informing me that he can go to Washington the lust of this week and I have notified hira that T have written you to let him know upon what day it would be fleairable to have hira there.
