HAIGHT, Publisher May 89th. 1900. Dr Ambler, Seo'y. Appalachian National Park Association, Asheville, North Carolina., Dear Sir:~ The receipt of your recent circulars relative to the resolution indorsing the Appalachian National Park movement suggests bringing this matter to the attention of the American Park and Outdoor Art Association that is to hold its Fourth Annual convention in Chicago next week. If you are not already in correspondence with the Association on the subject would it not be well to bring the matter directly to the attention of Mr. Warren H. Manning, the secretary, and have a communication from you read at the convention. As it win be too late to address Mr. Manning at his Boston office you may send a letter in my care, but you need not necessarily refer to me in it. I suggested to Mr. Manning some time ago that it would be well to have something on the subject of national parks read at the convention, and while it impressed him favorably, I do not know whether he has given it any further consideration. The convention meets in Chicago June 5, 6 and 7th, and Mr. Manning expects to be in the city the latter part of this week. Yours very t; P. S. Please pardon the opilsssion of initials in your address, I have mislaid the circulars containing them. R.J.H.
