Dear Sir:- in compliance with your request of the 4th inst. i am today sending you by mail a number of photographs covering a variety of views in and about Sapphire. A number of these are timber views such as 1 understand you particularly want and several general views. i also include that of the fern-bed which you stated Professor Pinchot particularly desires; also river view showing rhododendron end laurel, which is the best of these subjects we have. Any of these views that are not acceptable or desirable can be returned to this office. I know that your di ^position is entirely proper in the matter. Doctor, but 1 would thank you to suggest to Professor Pinchot that we would appreciate having proper credit for having furnished these views or that the Sapphire country should have proper credit for same. Je hare of course a very large number of views from which to make these selections and possibly you may have record of other view? that you think more desirable. If so, we will be glad to furnish you with any subjects you may indicate. I desire to apologize to you for ay seeming delay in giving this matter attention but 1 have been so busy with this Passenger Agents Association that I have hot been able to secure these views earlier.
