To open the show, Amy recalls how the storytelling team of “The Ammons sisters” was born. The background music is “Opening to Storytelling.” Doreyl’s guest on Creative Corner is once more Thomas Rain Crowe from Tuckasegee. Thomas reads some love poems he has written over the years and now published in “Learning to Dance.” The interview is followed by “Old Hundred” by Jo Northup & Richard Birt. On Stories of Mountain Folk, Amy welcomes Fran Rogers from Clyde. Fran begins a series of stories about her father, Fred Nichols, and his childhood. “Amazing Grace” by Vance Trull follows the interview. Today on This is My Home, Joe talks about writer John Parris. The town of Webster is keeping his memory and stories alive with the annual “John Parris Christmas.” This year, the event will be held on December 21st at Webster United Methodist Church with guest author Curtis Blanton. The segment is followed by “Kodak 1955” by Home Delivery. On Down Another Road, Judy’s guest is once again Laura Graham Crockett from Black Mountain. Laura reads excerpts from a collection of family wills gathered by her grandmother, Della. “Joy to the World” by the Cockman Family follows the interview. The show closes with “Stille Nacht” by the Columba Ringers.
