In her opening story, "Camping under the Stars," Amy recalls childhood memories of camping out and sharing youthful dreams around the campfire with her siblings. (“A Rose in a Fire” by Bill Mize and Martha Jacobs accompanies her story.) On Creative Corner, Doreyl's guest, Conrad Brown of Tuckasegee, describes how he learned to make Amish apple butter and shares his process for making the traditional spread; his wife, Betty Brown, closes the segment with “Smoky Mountain Memories.” Amy's guest, Jeanne Crowe Lira of Cherokee, describes her childhood on the Qualla Boundary and how life on the reservation has changed over time; Walela’s "Cherokee Morning Song" closes the segment. On Apple Butter, Krista’s guest is Curt Collins from Avant Garden in Cullowhee; he discusses the farm’s edible offerings and the traditional farming methods he employs. (The segment ends with "Cullowhee," written and performed by Henry Queen of John's Creek.) On Down Another Road, Judy continues her discussion with Ted White who shares the story of one of Asheville’s hometown heroes, Colonel Robert Morgan, and his infamous flight down Patton Avenue. (Banjo Mania’s "Trouble" closes the segment.) The show ends with "Dave Hall" from Buddy Melton.
