Jeter Connelly Pritchard (1857-1921) was a North Carolina Republican Senator and supporter of the efforts of the Appalachian National Park Association. This series of correspondence from George S. Powell to Pritchard, in August 1901, addressed Pritchard's willingness to stay involved with moving the park forward in Congress. George S. Powell (b. 1848) was the association’s first president.
