-2- Your friend the deputy marshal must have an interesting time. I have heard of the bunch of slackers up in the mountains, as the agent in charge at Atlanta told me of them. We had one from the Tuscarora Mountains, down in Fulton County, Pa., at the last term of court and had quite a hard time convicting him, as he had the neighbors who could swear to his age pretty well eeairt. Lately I haven't picked up any antique rifles, but I got a prize in the shape of a .22 Ballard. The rifling is badly corroded but I am going to send it to Diller, of Dayton, Ohio to be relined and when it is finished I'll have a real target rifle. It has the nicest trggger pull and action I have seen in a long t lme • Your article in All Outdoors is very interesting and I have been hounding the news agents to death trying to get copies as early as possible. Hoping that we can arrage that meeting around the festive board-at Ostendoirff's, I remain with best wishes for a Merry Zmas and a Happy New Year, Sincerely yours,

In a letter to Horace Kephart on December 23, 1918, Roy C. McHenry discusses an incident where two men smuggled whiskey into West Virginia. He mentions another case in Fulton County, Pennsylvania in the Tuscarora Mountains where they had trouble convicting the guilty party because witnesses confirmed this person met the legal age drinking requirements. Mr. McHenry describes his rifles he carries on different occasions and hopes they will visit in Philadelphia soon.
