Mr. Horace Kephart, Dayton, 0# Dear "ir:— We to acknowledge receipt the 3rd Inst., relati and in tl herewith connection of your favor of to the matter of power house boats would say that we are handing you a blue print of a 50' oower house boat from which drawing we have already built two boats, one for C as. ci. Conisky, of thF; White Sox Base Ball team Chicago, and one for Dr. Melding San Antonia, Texas, and both boats have proved very successful. They are good comfortable hemes providing every convenience and acco^MOdation^the engine never refusing to operate properly, and will drive the boat nine miles an hour in still water. In general, would say that this boat is framed in white oak, garboard and iheer strakes white oak, balance of the plankin - La. red cypress. Decks of pine, house is framed in oak sided and sheeted with cedar. Finish is either plain in the natural wood or enameled as desired. We propose to furnish the boat wi.tha 24 H. P. 4 cylinder, 4 cycle engine installed. Bath room equipment consisting of tub, marine pump closet, lavatory, hot and cold water, complete galley equipment consisting of refrigerator, sink, stove anc necessary clipboards, dish rack, hot and cold water in the galley sink. Mattresses for berths in the staetroom, cushions for eats and backs of seats in the main saloons. Railings as shown on the blue print , small boat swung on davits as shown .Also flag polos, flags anchor and cable, sailing lights and aoeriitg lines . For the boat complete , ready.for the owner to step aboard and start on a cruise, our price is $3500.00 F. 0. B. cars Muskegon, • or afloat in our harbor hers. The two boats which we have already built were both delivered afloat in o r harbor here. One of them cruised to Florida and nearly one half way back up the Miss, river, and the other one went across Lake Mich, through Green Bay and Fox River Valley and is now on.one of the Wis. lakes. If this boat proves attractive to you, we will be glad to submit detailed specifications ©evering it. Or, if you have something else in mind we would be glad to have you give
