in New York City. And raising a lively infant with a mind of his own is even more exciting than a wild day on the stock exchange. Life up here and especially at #94 Royal Road is very blissful. I was terribly sorry that we couldn’t have managed to join in the reunion last year, and most especially on George’s account. We hope some day soon that we might have a visit from you. You must have so many claimants on you time – but we’ll try to entice you with many worth while places in Maine that I’m sure would interest you. And I can’t begin to tell you how happy it would make us to see you. Love from us all. Pauline George wondered if you have an extra copy of “Camp Cookery” which he never has seen. Could you please spare it?

In this letter of August 23, 1928, Pauline Kephart writes to her father-in-law Horace Kephart on behalf of her husband George who is out cruising timber until October. Pauline writes to send pictures of their youngest son, to tell him about the house they have bought and to invite him to Maine for a visit. She also requests a copy of “Camp Cookery” for George who has never seen it.
