  • Suffer the Consequences (A No-Good Man) (Guy has been seeing another woman, his wife decides to put her foot down about the matter.) Guy: Why are you looking down? Hey baby, why the frown? Is it anything that I've done, Come on, tell me about it hon. What did I do or what did I say, That's making you feel and act this way." Wife: Hey, look darling I really like your style, Because you always try to make me smile. It's just that right now I've received some news, That's causing me disgusting nerve-racking blues. Now I know whatever goes on in the dark must come to light, So explain to me baby why you come home late at night. I've been wondering about this though, Thinking that you would soon let me know. But it's still going on and I've heard nothing yet, For the love that I've given you is this all I get? Do I have a right to ask, a right to know? Are you going to tell me or must I go? Because if you can't speak openly you're not worthy of, The warmth, concern and understanding of my love. You see I can do without a man that roams the street, Never finding the time to come home to eat. I can do without a man that never seems to care, And never stays at home but keeps going everywhere.
