Dear Sir:« Referring to your letter of recent date: You are no doubt familiar with the laws of Forth Carolina which prevent us from issuing free transportation within that State. ^ are deeply interested in the success of the Appalachian National Park Association, and to that end will render what assistance lies within our power. It will afford us pleasure to n issue free * wansportat ion to you between points outside of the State of North Carolina when travelling on business connected with said Association. I would suggest^ in order to expedite matters, that you make applications through Mr. F* R, Darby, our City passenger and Ticket Agent, Asheville, to whom I have sent copy of this letter.
