  • bathroom, and the smallest kitchen imaginable, but not a kitchenette. There is, of course, heat and hot water; so you could really stay in it and be comfortable. I have at present only the one couch for any one to sleep on, but I am thinking of getting an army cot with mattress, so could accommodate another person. As soon as I get the keys I will send you one; and also one to Barbara & Roy, as it might be a convenience to them some time. If they drive to New York over the George Washington Bridge and continue down Broadway it is right in their path. Because of my work with the children it is not feasable [sic] for me to have Saturday afternoon off, so I have arranged to have all day Monday instead. I go to New York Saturday evening and stay until Monday evening. Why couldn’t you plan to stay at least a week-end in New York, and I could see you there? Last summer I spoke of asking Fitch to lend us his copy of the Ferris genealogy so we could copy some of it, but upon returning to N.Y. it occurred to me that there might be a copy in the genealogical division of the N.Y. Public Library. I accordingly
