In this letter of October 11, 1900, Julia Padgett writes her aunt, Mrs. Sabra McFee in Hayesville, NC to introduce herself. She tells her she is the daughter of Madison Curtis and fills her in on all of the family news including the deaths of her parents and details about her siblings, their spouses, and their children. She shares that she herself is living on a part of her father’s old farm, that she married F. L. Padgett, and gives her the names of her children. She asks that she write back.
