Item’s are ‘child’ level descriptions to ‘parent’ objects, (e.g. one page of a whole book).

  • TRACTS 306 - 306a - G. C. CLARK. THE TITLE The original tracts out of which these two small parcels came were embraced within the bounds of state Grant 252, issued to John Gray Blount November 29, 1796. Title to these lands covered by the above mentioned grant became vested in Robert Love and James R. Love under a deed bearing date December 20, 1834, and became a part of what is generally known as the Love Speculation Lands. The records disclose a regular recorded chain of title to these lands down to the present owner, G. C. Clark. In addition thereto, the said Clark and those under whom he claims, have been in the long, open, adverse possession of these lands under known visible boundaries for a sufficient period of time to have matured title thereto under the Statutes of North Carolina. However, these lands are subject to a lappage by junior deed under which the Suncrest Lumber Company now holds. In order to clarify the situation relative to this lappage, all persons necessary were made parties in a condemnation proceeding brought in the Superior Court of Buncombe County, before the Clerk, entitled, "State of North Carolina vs. Suncrest Lumber Company, et al". When this proceeding is concluded relative to this lappage, suitable notation will be made of the same in this abstract. Inquiry in the neighborhood discloses that no other person, except the Suncrest Lumber Company, has set up claim of any nature to this tract. There are no valid outstanding liens or encumbrances,
