Nov. 19 1935 Dear Leonard Things down here are moving, but it is a big job, Such a lot of papers that must be examined one by one. There is a mass of notes & partly written articles, that is a gold mine. I am sure they can be used in short-½ column- bits such as your father could, & did sell to the St. Louis papers for $10. It would not take long to write them & I am sure they would sell. I hope to get away not later than a week from today, Tues. Do you know, or could you find out without too much trouble, if there is a good bus service between Wash. & Bingham- ton. It would be fine if I could go by bus from Washington to Sidney. There is a line between Binghamton & Sidney but I dont know about connections.

In this letter of November 19, 1935, Laura Kephart writes her son, Leonard Kephart (1892-1988) from Bryson City where she is going through Horace Kephart’s notes and partly written articles. She discusses travel options and lets him know that she will be going to Asheville with I. K. Stearns, his wife, and his aunt where she has plans to visit Nancy.
