April 9, 1947 Dear family - (George Kepharts) Lucy came down Monday & confirmed what I had suspected for some time. Cornelia’s last letters did not seem natural on account of what they did not say. When Virginia took over the letter writing I was worried. They say Cornelia did not want me to be told, which was mistaken kindness on her part. I like to know the facts. They are not so hard to bear as conjectures. It is easier to fight if you know what you are fighting. Lucy & I feel it is best to carry on the plans for the next few months. Cornelia would
