from Masonville to Baltimore by auto. This is simply to let you know that I am leaving here. Don’t try to meet me or do any thing about it, as there is only a ½ hours wait in Wash. Did not want you to be wondering where I was at. In case it is necessary to communicate with me, send to Fryemont Inn. Mr. Stearns is to take me to Asheville in time tomorrow for me to meet

In this letter of November 25, 1935, Laura Kephart writes her daughter-in-law Frances (1887-1971) about her travel plans from Bryson City to Binghampton. She wants her to know that she will only be in Washington for half an hour and they should not come to meet her. She lets Frances know that she is staying at the Fryemont Inn, that she will meet with Mr. McCoy before she leaves and that Mr. Wilburn is waiting to go over some things with her.
