Nov. 25 1935 Dear Frances The last plan is for me to leave here tomorrow- Tues. Guess that is the dead line so the plan won’t be changed again. It was a real job to get a train schedule from here. The best they could find was to leave Asheville at 5 P.M. - reach Washington about 6:35 A.M. Wed. Leave Wash. 7 A.M. Wed Reach Binghamton 10 P.M. Wed. There must be a better train from Wash. to Binghamton. It took us only 8 ½ hours

In this letter of November 25, 1935, Laura Kephart writes her daughter-in-law Frances (1887-1971) about her travel plans from Bryson City to Binghampton. She wants her to know that she will only be in Washington for half an hour and they should not come to meet her. She lets Frances know that she is staying at the Fryemont Inn, that she will meet with Mr. McCoy before she leaves and that Mr. Wilburn is waiting to go over some things with her.
